Socket Fiber is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Project Administrator to join our expanding team. This entry-level position will provide critical support to Senior Project Managers in the planning, coordination, and execution of fiber optic network deployment projects. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of project management principles, a keen interest in telecommunications infrastructure, and a strong desire to learn and grow within the fiber optic industry.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist Senior Project Managers in developing comprehensive project plans, schedule, and budgets for fiber optic installations
- Help monitor project progress
- Coordinate project activities and resources
- Facilitate communication and collaboration between internal teams
- Create and maintain essential project documentation
- Assist in preparing purchase orders
- Prepare and organize project reports and presentations for stakeholders
- Help identify project risks and issues and assist in developing contingency plans
- Support the resolution of in-field modifications, ensuring accurate communication
- Adherent to industry standards, company guidelines, and safety regulations
- Assist in final inspections
- Coordinate with customers, subcontractors, and internal teams
- Prepare and participate in customer meetings, site visits, and in-person interactions as directed
- Other duties as assigned
Skills:
- 1+ years of experience in project coordination or related role
- Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Familiarity with project management software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organization and planning skills
- Problem solving skills
- Ability to work independently
- Being able to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively under pressure
- A strong desire to learn about fiber optic technology
Desired Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in project management, Business Administration, Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field
- Knowledge of fiber optic components
- Familiarity with GIS mapping tools
- Understanding of outside plan (OSP) construction principles
