Description
Lakeside View is looking to recruit a Bank Healthcare Assistant to join the team Priory’s acute and PICU services aim to allow more people to be treated closer to home and we support the NHS to repatriate out-of-area patients back to local areasPriory Lakeside View in Willenhall, West Midlands, supports 30 adults with acute mental health needs within a safe, therapeutic environment. We have two male wards in the main building, and a female ward in a separate building. From the point of admission into our acute services, we aim to support people to safely discharge back into the community, where they can continue to progress towards recovery in a less restrictive environment.
What you'll be doing
You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. You will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients- Contribute to a team approach to patient care in conjunction with all members of the multidisciplinary team.
- Participate in regular ward meetings and attend other meetings as requested.
- To assist in the maintenance of stock levels, including pharmaceutical products.
- To assist in the maintenance of ward cleanliness and tidiness and adhere to infection control policy and procedures at all times.
- Develops and maintains a good professional relationship with patients, colleagues and visitors responding promptly and courteously to requests and enquiries.
What you'll bring to the role
Our work is rewarding but can be challenging, so resilience is key. No two days are the same! Your natural empathy will help you support others through both the highs and lows.The role requires candidates to be educated to a minimum of NVQ Level 1 or to hold GCSEs in Mathematics and English. Applicants should understand the importance of maintaining strict confidentiality and possess basic IT literacy. While no specific prior experience is necessary, successful candidates will be required to complete the Care Certificate as part of their probation period, regardless of whether they have previously attained it.
