Job Description

Perform deploy and operate work that pertains to Infrastructure & Operations Database operations (as specifically allocated by line management from time to time in order to achieve optimal workload distribution amongst job holders.)Perform deploy and operate work that pertains to Infrastructure & Operations Database operations (as specifically allocated by line management from time to time in order to achieve optimal workload distribution amongst job holders.)

Qualifications

• National Senior Certificate
• A formal qualification (preferably vendor certified) in the use and administration of SQL databases.
• MS SQL Server
• MySQL Database
• MS Cloud Offering, DevOps tools, Business Writing Skills, ITIL Foundation, SAFe 4.0

Additional Information

Knowledge:

• Fair knowledge and understanding of operational SQL databases and associated operating systems and a good understanding of the related banking business applications utilising SQL databases.
• Fair knowledge and understanding of SQL from SQL 2022 down to SQL 2016.
• Basic knowledge and understanding of Azure Cloud and/or AWS Cloud Services and offerings advantageous
• Basic Knowledge of MySQL database advantageous
• Fair proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Beginner Knowledge of DevOps and DevOps tools
• Beginner Knowledge of any scripting tool i.e. PowerShell advantageous
• Basic knowledge of Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe 4.0) advantageous
• Affinity for databases (relational, object) and related programming
• SQL knowledge.
