Rest’s Data, Technology and Delivery (DTD) business unit is accountable for planning and preparing the organisation for the future through strategic technology innovation, as well as charting our business strategy and executing for today and tomorrow.
The Risk Partner – Enterprise Data Risk will support DTD and Rest in identifying and managing data related risks across the enterprise and implementing appropriate frameworks / tooling / reporting to enable strategic and prioritised investment decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and implement mechanisms for identifying and assessing enterprise data risk exposure across Rest, including frameworks, guidelines, tooling and reporting.
- Identify and assess Enterprise Data Risks, focusing on high-velocity risks with high residual ratings and strategic concerns around data management.
- Support the risk management of Critical Data Elements (CDE) through established playbooks, tools and processes.
- Manage data incidents (excluding information security), including identification and definition of remediation and mitigating actions.
- Design and implement an annual assurance process covering CPG 235 (Managing Data Risk), producing reports detailing gaps and proposed remediation.
- Support Risk in Change assessments on relevant changes impacting data use within Rest, ensuring appropriate ownership and remediation plans.
- Identify and assess controls required for Data Risk management across Rest, establishing reporting on control effectiveness.
- Promote a risk and compliance culture across the organisation and set guidelines & policy for risk management where relevant.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 5+ years' experience in risk management or compliance, preferably in financial services (Superannuation experience desirable)
- Proven track record in enterprise data risk governance, including setting standards, frameworks, and implementing risk management measures
- Experience with CPG 235 (Managing Data Risk) or similar regulatory guidelines, including designing assurance programs and compliance reporting
- Strong ability to identify, assess, and manage enterprise data risks, including incident response and control effectiveness evaluation
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work across divisions and liaise with stakeholders at all levels
- Proficiency in data risk analysis tools, methodologies, and relevant technology systems
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines, requiring high attention to detail and accuracy
