Job Title: Student TA – PRJ-3001 Cinematic Projects III (Tan), F25-S26
Reports to: YZ Tan
This position involves supporting students in their cinematic projects; candidates must have a strong passion for cinematic projects and narrative storytelling. Candidates must be willing to research and provide solutions tailored to each team’s specific goals and technical needs, regardless of whether they are working in 2D or 3D.
Class Times:
Tuesdays – 4:00 - 6:00 p.m.
Thursdays – 1:00 - 6:00 p.m.
Duties and Responsibilities
This position involves supporting students in their cinematic projects; candidates must have a strong passion for cinematic projects and narrative storytelling.
- Supporting research and development
- Assisting and guiding teams through structured critiques
- Organizing and recommending project timelines and deadlines
- Helping teams navigate interpersonal challenges and dynamics
- Supporting task organization
- Offering guidance on narrative decisions
- Accountable for tracking and reporting the amount of time worked
Qualifications/Competencies
Candidates must be willing to research and provide solutions tailored to each team’s specific goals and technical needs, regardless of whether they are working in 2D or 3D. Preferred qualifications include experience in one or more of the following areas:
- 3D or 2D animation, production pipelines for 3D or 2D assets
- Character rigging in 3D or 2D
- Use of Storyboard Pro
- Task management software such as Notion, Photoshop, 3D
- DCC software like Maya or Blender
- Visual effects
Expected dates of employment: September 2, 2025 – April 24, 2026
Expected number of hours per week: 10 - 12

Wage Range:
$16.66 - 17.75 per hour, depending on number of terms worked at DigiPen

Working Conditions:
The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: some lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some stooping, kneeling, and/or crouching; and fine finger dexterity. May need to lift up to 25 lbs. Generally, the job requires 80% sitting, 10% walking, and 10% standing.
DigiPen Student Employee Academic Requirements:
- Are currently a Matriculated student at DigiPen Institute of Technology
- Good Academic Standing – not on Academic Warning as defined in DigiPen Course Catalog
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher
- Have taken and passed PRJ-300 and/or PRJ-350 or PRJ-400 or PRJ-3000 and/or PRJ-3050 with a B or better
Requirement Exceptions:
It is possible to still be selected for a position with DigiPen if you do not meet the requirements above, so don't let that dissuade you from applying!
