Job Description

In this fixed-term full-time role, you will be a part of the EJ Whitten Prostrate Cancer Centre at Epworth, a philanthropic funded specialist centre dedicated to making a difference in the lives of patients with prostate cancer. Reporting to the Research Program Manager, you will work with a close-knit team and be responsible for coordinating and managing clinical research studies and trials in prostate and urological cancer. This is an office-based, face-to-face role.

You will make an impact by:

  • Collaborating with Principal Investigators to develop and manage clinical trials (Phase I to III) and clinical research protocols
  • Overseeing recruitment to a wide range of clinical studies, both commercial and non-commercial
  • Developing your skills and capabilities as a research professional within a team culture that actively encourages collaborative research 

To be successful in this role…

You will be someone who enjoys working with research teams, clinicians, and other research professionals. You will be a great communicator, with an empathetic and supportive approach and an ability to build strong productive relationships with colleagues and key stakeholders. You will have an eye for process improvement and quickly fixing any issues that may come your way. 

You will have:

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in clinical trials
  • Experience with first-in-human or investigator-initiated trials
  • Previous experience working with tissue/blood sample collections, processing and storage would be advantageous
  • Proven experience in oncology or urology trials (preferred)
  • Strong understanding of GCP and ethics/governance requirements
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Proficient with EDC systems (REDCap, InForm, Medidata)

  • Postgraduate qualification in Clinical Research or similar (Desirable)
