The Role 

As a Programmatic Manager, you will lead the planning, execution, and optimisation of programmatic advertising campaigns across all digital channels. Your primary objective is to attract high-value players by leveraging data and customer insights, ensuring campaigns are highly targeted, cost-efficient, and measurably contribute to brand awareness, consideration, and new depositing customers. This role requires you to be the primary point of contact for all programmatic suppliers and an evangelist for programmatic advertising across the business, driving its future role and shape within the group's marketing activities. 

This role presents a dynamic opportunity to significantly impact revenue goals through cutting-edge ad technology. You will navigate a fast-paced environment, continuously optimising campaign performance and exploring new inventory sources to ensure maximum impact. Success is measured by your ability to demonstrate tangible improvements in programmatic performance and establish a robust measurement framework that reflects the true value of programmatic media.

Key Responsibilities 

  •  Plan, execute, and optimise programmatic advertising campaigns across digital channels. 
  • Leverage data and customer insights to attract high-value players and support revenue goals. 
  • Manage relationships and optimise performance with programmatic suppliers (DSPs, SSPs, Direct Publishers, Tech Partners). 
  • Make decisions on sourcing, optimising, and evaluating programmatic providers. 
  • Act as an evangelist for programmatic advertising across the business. 
  • Collaborate with Brand and Insights teams to expand understanding of channel performance beyond post-click measurement. 
  • Help define the future role and shape of programmatic activities for the group. 
  • Actively explore and champion the application of AI and machine learning tools within programmatic advertising and optimisation. 

Skills, Knowledge and Experience 

  • Proficiency with multiple Programmatic Platforms (e.g., TTD, Yahoo, QuantCast). 
  • Understanding of the Programmatic Ecosystem (DSPs, SSPs, DMPs). 
  • Familiarity with Tracking Implementation (e.g., GTM, Pixels). 
  • Strong data analysis skills, including the ability to use applicable tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau). 
  • Experience running A/B or multivariate testing. 
  • Expertise in Media Planning, Budget Forecasting, and Audience Segmentation. 
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to liaise with cross-functional teams and external vendors. 
  • Ability to clearly present data insights and recommendations to non-technical stakeholders. 
  • Possesses an agile, problem-solving approach, able to troubleshoot campaign issues and make real-time adjustments. 
  • A team player, capable of working with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and maximise impact.
