JOB SUMMARY:Develops, implements and monitors safe stay at work or return to work plans on the unit to close the gap between the employee’s functional capacity and the job demands.QUALIFICATIONS:Education and Experience:Masters Degree in OT or PT, plus Functional Capacity Evaluation Skills certification, and two (2) years of recent related experience in a unionized health care environment, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.Current full registration as an Occupational Therapist with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (CHCPBC).Eligible for membership in the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT).orEligible for membership in the Physiotherapy Association of British Columbia (PABC).Local area travel requires use of a personal vehicle for which mileage is reimbursed.Skills:• relationship management• verbal and written communication• negotiation/influence• current computer literacy in Excel, Power Point, Word• clinical reasoning• ergonomics• rehabilitation• creative solution-focusedKnowledge:• disability management• health care jobsThe hours of work including days off and work area may be subject to change consistent with operational requirements and the provision of the Collective Agreement and applicable statutes.
