What is this role?
The Revenue Operations Manager (Retail) will be the operational backbone of Cirkul’s retailer sales organization, ensuring our sales teams have the insights, tools, and processes they need to hit ambitious growth targets. Focused exclusively on retail channels, this role will track performance, optimize workflows, and deliver data-driven recommendations via category insights analysis that drive sell-in and sell-through success across our retail partners. You will work closely with sales leadership, category management, and retail marketing to ensure alignment on goals, visibility into performance, and continuous improvement of our go-to-market execution.
What does an average day look like?
Driving Results:
- Track and report on retail sales metrics, including sell-in, sell-through, inventory levels, and promotional lift.
- Develop and manage tools to help the retail sales team meet and exceed revenue targets.
- Identify gaps in performance early and recommend corrective actions.
Taking Ownership:
- Ensure retailer revenue data is accurate, timely, and actionable.
- Own the maintenance and optimization of sales systems (e.g., Salesforce, retail reporting platforms).
- Proactively drive improvements in sales forecasting and goal-setting processes.
- Partner with sales team members to review progress against goals and highlight opportunities for improvement.
Making Decisions:
- Use historical and current data to inform retailer sales strategy.
- Recommend adjustments to pricing, promotions, or product assortment based on insights.
- Decide on priority areas for process optimization and tool development.
Cultivating Relationships:
- Work closely with sales team members to understand retailer-specific needs.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to align on objectives and execution plans.
- Build trust with leadership by delivering reliable, actionable insights.
- Collaborate with marketing, supply chain, and sales teams to align on retailer initiatives.
Instilling Trust:
- Ensure all reporting is accurate, transparent, and free from bias.
- Uphold consistency and integrity in all data-driven recommendations.
Customer Focus:
- Keep retailer and shopper needs at the forefront when developing solutions.
- Monitor promotional and merchandising impact to ensure programs resonate with customers.
What background should you have?
- 5+ years in sales operations, revenue operations, or analytics, preferably in CPG or retail-focused businesses.
- Strong experience with retail data.
- Proficiency with CRM and analytics tools.
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Strong project management skills with a track record of driving cross-functional initiatives.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
