Let's start with the role

We are looking for a Social Media Specialist who lives and breathes social content, trends, and sports culture. In this role, you will be responsible for ideating, executing, and optimizing content across our social media channels to drive brand love, engagement, and user growth. You’ll collaborate with content creators and influencers, designers, analysts, and marketing managers to craft thumb-stopping content that builds community and enhances the Betano experience across every major platform.

As a Social Media Specialist you will:

Have a native understanding of sports culture and trends – you instinctively know what’s buzzing in the sports world, from matchday moments to viral memes and fan conversations.
Create engaging and shareable content, including text, image, and video content, that resonates with our target audience in collaboration with the creative agencies.
Plan and schedule daily content across key platforms (Instagram, TikTok, X, Facebook, YouTube, Threads, Betano's own SoMe network).
Support content ideas with real-time sports narratives and culturally relevant moments.
Ensure all content aligns with Betano’s tone of voice, brand guidelines, and campaign objectives.

Monitor and engage with followers in real-time, including during major sporting events on Betano's own SoMe network.
Collaborate with marketing, content, and CRM teams to align campaigns and messaging.
Manage and further develop the collaboration with partners’ social media channels.
Monitor social media channels of the competitors and affiliates.
Stay on top of emerging trends, memes, and platform updates to keep Betano relevant and culturally plugged-in
Identify and experiment with new formats (Reels, Shorts, Stories, etc.) and social innovations.
Track KPIs (engagement, reach, sentiment, CTR, follower growth, etc.) and generate regular reports.
Use insights to optimize content performance and inform future strategies.

What you’ll bring

2–4 years of experience in social media and content creation (preferably in sports, entertainment, or lifestyle industries).
Strong knowledge of major social media platforms, their algorithms, and best practices.
Passion for sports, betting, and pop culture — you follow sports like a true fan.
Excellent writing, grammar, and storytelling skills in Bulgarian.
A keen eye for design and visual content (basic skills in Canva, Photoshop, Figma, or video editing are a plus).
Flexibility to work during evenings and weekends, including weekends and evenings during live events or tournaments.
A collaborative mindset and the ability to work in a fast-paced, international team.
Experience working with influencers or creators would be an asset
Background in betting, gaming, esports, or sports journalism would be an asset
Skills in video editing or motion graphics (e.g., Adobe Premiere, After Effects) would be an asset
Experience with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Later, or native platform tools) would be an asset
