Position OverviewWe are seeking a Workers’ Compensation Legal Assistant to join our Greenbelt, Maryland office. This role is ideal for a highly organized and detail-oriented professional who can handle a fast-paced workload while providing exceptional administrative support to our workers’ compensation attorneys. This is a full-time, in-office position working Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Eastern Time.

Resposibilities
- Manage attorney calendars, including scheduling client meetings, depositions, hearings, and deadlines.
- Prepare, format, and proofread correspondence, pleadings, and other legal documents for workers’ compensation cases.
- File legal documents with the Maryland Workers’ Compensation Commission and other relevant agencies.
- Coordinate with clients, opposing counsel, medical providers, and court staff.
- Organize and maintain case files in both physical and electronic formats.
- Assist with client intake, communication, and status updates.
- Track important case deadlines and ensure timely task completion.
- Handle incoming calls, emails, and mail, ensuring prompt follow-up.
- Provide general administrative support to attorneys and paralegals.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience as a legal assistant, preferably in workers’ compensation or personal injury law.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a high-volume environment.
- Professional demeanor and commitment to confidentiality.
