Purpose
To oversee the parking services program at all UT parking areas. Responsible for the daily parking operations by enforcing parking policies and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Proficient in all enforcement equipment and software programs. Enforcement supervisor should be able to competently use all enforcement equipment and software programs. These include but not limited to Flex, EMS, NuPark, T2, UT Parking Portal, tablet, and LPR vehicles. Proficient in all enforcement procedures and protocols. Proficient in all PTS Parking Rules and Regulations.
- Create and maintain a high-morale/high-performing working environment. Employ positive reinforcement strategies. Create incentive programs. Practice supportive accountability. Effectively mentor and coach employees so that they are performing at a high level.
- Organize collection of performance metrics for easy accessibility. Timely entries of all PEO performance metrics. Ensure timely documentation/notes in PEOs box folder of anything related to job performance. Foster and maintain transparency in the evaluation process. Ensure PEOs know what is expected of them. Ensure PEOs know how their performance will be assessed. Create path for success.
- Ability to resolve personnel issues. Effectively utilizes conflict resolution techniques. Employs methods of understanding to get to the bottom of the issue at hand. Formulates solutions that are reasonably fair and just.
- Leading by example by writing citations and setting the standard. Allocate time in the field with staff (shadowing, checking enforced areas for thoroughness and accuracy).
- Consistently keeps management informed in a timely manner of any issues that arise, whether they are operational, or personnel based. Proper use of the chain-of-command. Communicate with staff and management with respect and consideration. Disseminate accurate information to staff and management in a clear manner.
- Holiday, occasional overtime or comp time required as necessary. Must work minimum of one home football game every year in addition to every other Thanksgiving week home football game.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and three years of related experience in the operation of parking facilities or high-volume parking systems. Cash handling experience and the use of tools applicable to the trade.
Preferred Qualifications
More than the required minimum number of years of experience. Working knowledge of T2 FLEX software and Amano equipment. Familiarity with relevant university policies/procedures. Completion of the university’s Management Essentials Certificate.
Driver Required
This job requires a class "C" operator's driver's license. The applicant selected must provide a current three-year driving record from the current state of residence. If not currently a Texas resident, a Texas driver's license must be obtained within 30 days of becoming a Texas resident. Employees who are required to have a CDL are subject to drug and alcohol testing (pre-employment, post-accident, reasonable suspicion, random, return-to-duty, and follow-up drug and alcohol testing).
Salary Range
$52,000 + depending upon qualifications
Work Shift
Monday – Friday, 2:45pm – 11:15pm
