Transport / Logistics Coordinator - Madagascar

Maersk is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team in Toamasina, Madagascar, as a Transport / Logistics Coordinator. The role is crucial for driving Maersk L&S growth in Madagascar, aligning with the strategy linked to the  Area Business plan by seamless execution and delivery of the sold services.

The position holder will be responsible for over-viewing and managing carrier haulage operations by assuring an end-to-end inland logistics solution, including order management, resource allocation, route planning, coordination, and effective communication.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive and plan work order.

• Follow up and resolve unplanned work order

• Informing vendors on any requirement linked to the respective bookings and types of operation.

• Track weekly report to clean the country landside metrics.

• Active engagement with both internal and external stakeholders including vendors executing on our behalf, ensuring a consistent presence, brand positioning and seamless operations execution leading to customer satisfaction.

• Enhancing customer satisfaction and experience, directly impacting customer retention and acquisition.

• Maintaining the team spirit with our Third-Party Agent while pushing the Maersk agenda.

• Operational visits on customer depot for new customers to ensure proper execution and plan.

• Contingency plans during peak season to meet all the stakeholder's expectation.

• Ensure that our core values and purpose are applied and followed.

• The role is responsible for identifying opportunities for business enhancement and overseeing critical functions for seamless operations.

• Ensure that we proactively manage customers’ expectations / sales requests as per the Maersk Sales processes.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Someone with:

• +2 years of experience in Logistics.

• Fluency in French and English.

• Good Logistics Knowledge and Understanding of Inland Operations.

• Business development and Negotiation skills

• Strategic insights across functions.

• Stakeholder management, Influencing, consultative, and persuasive selling skills.

• Customer-centric approach to identifying customer needs
