Job Description:

Gains experience in the engineering function of the business as a student. Provides support for the engineering function in a learning capacity. Duties may include the following:

• Provides direct support for manufacturing operations; provide support for design engineering requirements in safety, quality, service and productivity.

• Uses scientific methods and Lean principles, proactively identify and offer improvement suggestions to manufacturing systems.

• Identifies equipment needs and/or process specifications; lead the implementation of these requirements into production environment.

• Promotes safety into all manufacturing and operations processes.

• Acts as a technical liaison between operations and design engineering.

• Supports the culture of continuous improvement through Lean journey by assisting with the development/coaching of associates on Lean philosophies.

• Other duties as assigned
