Position Summary: We are seeking a results-driven and detail-oriented Workday Reports and Analytics, Data Governance Manager to lead our enterprise-wide reporting strategy and data governance practices within Workday. This role is responsible for driving data quality, ensuring policy compliance, and delivering scalable, accurate reporting solutions to key stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Workday reporting (Advanced, Matrix, Composite, Prism), experience managing cross-functional data initiatives, and a solid understanding of data governance frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
Reports and Analytics:
Lead the development and maintenance of Workday reports (Advanced, Matrix, Composite, BIRT, and Prism) aligned to business needs across HR, Finance, and other functions.
Partner with business stakeholders to translate reporting requirements into scalable and auditable Workday solutions.
Oversee the lifecycle of reports—development, testing, deployment, usage tracking, and retirement—ensuring efficient use of reporting assets.
Drive self-service reporting enablement by guiding users on best practices, training materials, and reusable assets.
Data Governance:
Own the implementation and monitoring of Workday data governance controls, standards, and security protocols.
Drive data stewardship practices and establish data ownership models for key domains.
Lead periodic audits on report access, data usage, and compliance with internal policies and privacy regulations.
Collaborate with Security, Compliance, and Legal teams to support internal and external audit requirements.
Leadership & Collaboration:
Manage a team of analysts or partner resources supporting reporting and governance operations.
Coordinate across HRIS, People Analytics, Finance, Legal, and IT teams to ensure alignment on data priorities.
Provide strategic insights and recommendations to leadership through dashboards and analytics.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, HR Technology, Business Analytics, or related field (Master’s a plus).
5+ years of experience in Workday reporting, with strong hands-on knowledge of Workday report development tools and data sources.
3+ years of experience in data governance, preferably within HR or enterprise systems.
Experience managing cross-functional projects, audits, or reporting workstreams.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Familiarity with Workday Security, calculated fields, business processes, and data privacy concepts.
Preferred Skills:
Workday Pro certifications in Reporting, Security, or Prism.
Experience implementing or managing a Workday data governance framework.
Familiarity with SOX, GDPR, or other data compliance standards.
Ability to lead and mentor junior analysts or offshore teams.
