Do you thrive in a dynamic international environment, shaping the future of employee well-being and directly impacting organizational success?
Randstad, a global leader in the HR services industry, is seeking a Global Employee Benefits
Specialist to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in defining and executing our global insurable employee benefits strategy, ensuring our programs are competitive, compliant, and aligned with our commitment to our people and our financial objectives.
Your Mission
As our Global Employee Benefits Specialist, you will be at the forefront of designing, developing, and implementing a holistic and forward-thinking global strategy for Randstad's insurable employee benefits. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on our global workforce, ensuring our
benefits portfolio is both efficient and effective. Your key responsibilities will include:
● Strategic Leadership & Design:
○ Craft, implement, and continuously refine a global strategy for efficient and effective insurable employee benefits risk financing, collaborating closely with key stakeholders across the organization. This includes managing a substantial global benefits budget and mitigating significant financial and operational risks associated with our worldwide insurable portfolio.
○ Lead the design, development, and implementation of a Randstad-specific insurable employee benefits portfolio that aligns with our global vision and local needs, directly impacting the attraction, retention, and engagement of our employees across 38 countries.
○ Set the strategic direction for all local Randstad insurable employee benefits plans, encompassing governance frameworks, policy development, and infrastructure, ensuring global consistency where appropriate, and local relevance.
● Complex Problem Solving & Risk Management:
○ Develop and provide expert advice on insurable employee benefits risk prevention and mitigation plans, working in conjunction with relevant stakeholders. This requires navigating highly complex and ambiguous challenges stemming from diverse legal, fiscal, and market environments, and anticipating future trends.
○ Stay abreast of changes in international human resources trends and proactively monitor individual country benefit legislation to identify potential issues, opportunities, and ensure robust compliance across our global footprint.
○ Address intricate challenges such as the interplay of local regulations with global frameworks, managing cost escalation in diverse healthcare markets.
● Global Stakeholder Engagement & Influence:
○ Serve as the primary interface for local HR and other departments on all insurable employee benefits-related topics, fostering strong partnerships and providing expert guidance.
○ Collaborate closely with our global network of employee benefits specialists, ensuring consistent application of our strategy and best practices worldwide. This requires exceptional influencing skills to drive alignment and execution across a global matrix organization.
○ Liaise directly with the captive manager for the placement and structure of reinsurance cover with our reinsurance captive.
● Global Project Leadership & Change Management:
○ Lead global projects related to insurable employee benefits, from conceptualization through to successful implementation. This includes driving significant change management initiatives across diverse regions and functions, ensuring adoption and success of new programs.
○ Develop benefits strategies with a long-term outlook (e.g., 3-5 years), anticipating future trends and their impact on our global workforce and financial health.
Your Profile
We are looking for a highly experienced and strategic professional who possesses a deep understanding of the intricacies of global employee benefits, coupled with exceptional leadership and problem-solving capabilities. Your background should demonstrate:
● Extensive Expertise & Know-How: Significant and long-standing working experience (typically 10+ years) in strategic insurable employee benefits roles, coupled with a strong grasp of underwriting, advanced actuarial concepts for benefits valuation and sophisticated risk assessment, and complex claims management processes related to insurable employee benefits.

● Global Collaboration & Influence: Proven experience working with and coordinating brokers, pooling networks, and (re)insurers in placing insurable employee benefits plans internationally. You possess an exceptional ability to influence and align diverse stakeholders, including senior leadership, local HR teams, and external partners, often without direct authority, adept at building strong, credible relationships across all levels and functions of a global matrix
