Major Responsibilities:

  • ​​​Direct centralized Enterprise accounts payable technology, and analytics teams with an overall focus on continuous improvement of the procure to pay cycle in partnership with operational leaders within Accounts Payable, IT, and Procurement. ​  
  • ​Develop and maintain data analytical tools to monitor and analyze accounts payable performance. Manages metrics, KPIs and oversight of performance within each measurement including continuous feedback and trend analysis for operations leaders.​  
  • ​Lead the implementation of Cloud involving strategy, implementation support, and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) optimization related to procure to pay cycle. Lead the day-to-day activities of Cloud ERP projects for various regions and help design future process based on maturity models and leading practices specific to Procure-to-pay.  
  • ​​Collaborate with executive leadership, IT leadership, and supply chain and accounts payable operational leaders to define the overall accounts payable technology and analytics strategy aligned with business objectives and growth plans. Serve as the primary executive liaison with IT to garner support, resources, technology, and engagement to enable the execution of the accounts payable technology and analytics roadmap and systems.   
  • ​​Establish and nurture a robust analytics function to provide actionable insights and performance metrics across the procure to pay cycle, enabling proactive decision-making and process optimization, principally supporting operational and finance data-driven decision making. ​  
  • ​​Build and lead a high-performing team of technology and analytics teammates, providing guidance, mentoring, and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. ​Leverage expertise in operational processes, data analytics, statistical modeling, and business intelligence to lead the development of actionable insights, optimized accounts payable performance, and enhanced operational efficiency.​​ 
  • ​Collaborate with other accounts payable and supply chain leaders and key internal stakeholders to understand technology and analytic needs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives. Establish and maintain the accounts payable master technology roadmap to include the ERP(s) and all ancillary accounts payable automation and customer service systems. Serve as subject matter expert to coordinate the review of emerging technology to enable a best-in-class procure to pay organization.   
  • ​​Lead team to establish and maintain configuration and process stability of ancillary systems to ensure efficient and accurate processing of accounts payable related processes.​  
  • ​​Guide the evaluation, testing and implementation of all accounts payable technology in coordination with Advocate Health IT team. ​  
  • ​​Drive organizational change by promoting the adoption and integration of new technology solutions, fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making and sustaining change through enabling technologies. Continuously monitor end-user acceptance, satisfaction, and optimization opportunities to ensure that technology systems support the needs of the business.​  
  • ​​Manage end-to-end technology projects and analytics deliverables, including scoping, planning, budgeting, resource allocation, and timeline management. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet stakeholder expectations.​  

Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:

  • None

Education Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in ​​healthcare/business administration, supply chain, healthcare informatics, business analytics, information services, computer/data science or finance​ 

Experience Required:

  • ​7 years minimum required experience working in high volume, ideally with a focus/experience in accounts payable or supply chain technology system and/or analytics. Experience in a leadership or managerial role required. ​​  
  • Minimum of 3 years of management experience in a large health system setting with a minimum of 7 years within functional area..  

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

  • ​ ​Must possess in-depth knowledge of configuration of accounting ERP systems and strong operational knowledge of the Procure to Pay cycle. ​  
  • ​​Exceedingly strong communication skills and presentation skills required​  
  • ​​Must have strong project management skills and be able to perform as a project leader to deliver results under deadlines as well as working effectively cross-functionally in a rapidly changing environment. ​  
  • ​​Must be capable of exercising strategic decisions in areas of high complexity. ​  
  • ​​​Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.  
  • ​​Expert level knowledge of procure to pay systems, technology, analytics, operations, and best practices ​  
  • ​Experience in implementing and managing accounts payable and procure to pay technology systems such as ERP, vendor portals, and other ancillary systems. ​​  
  • ​​​Analytical mindset with the ability to gather and interpret data to drive informed decision-making. 

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • ​​​​ ​​This position requires travel, therefore, will be exposed to weather and road conditions. ​​  
  • ​​Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job.​  
  • ​​Exposed to a normal office environment.​  
  • ​​Effectively manage a team in a remote environment.​

Pay Range

$46.55 - $69.85
