The Senior Workday Financials Reporting Analyst serves as a strategic partner to finance, accounting, and operational leadership, driving enterprise-wide financial reporting strategy and analytics within the Workday Financial Management ecosystem. This role leads the design, development, and optimization of complex reporting solutions and dashboards that enable executive leadership to make informed, data-driven decisions. The Senior Analyst will influence reporting standards, champion data governance, and ensure reporting capabilities evolve in alignment with business priorities and strategic goals.

 

  • Partner with senior finance, accounting, and business leaders to define reporting needs, establish Workday reporting standards, and translate strategic objectives into advanced, actionable Workday reporting solutions
  • Own data integrity and Workday reporting governance – Oversee data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with organizational policies and financial controls; champion a high-quality, intuitive user experience for Workday reporting deliverables.
  • Develop, deliver and maintain timely and accurate Workday reports to support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial reporting.
  • Lead continuous improvement and adoption of Workday reporting innovations – Evaluate, test, and implement new Workday Financials reporting features and releases; recommend and deploy enhancements that improve speed, accuracy, and insight delivery.
  • Develop and maintain Workday reporting knowledge base – Create and oversee documentation for Workday report logic, data sources, business rules, and reporting standards to ensure knowledge transfer and sustainability.
Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in Workday Financials reporting, with proven expertise in Workday Report Writer, Calculated Fields, and reporting security concepts; experience with Prism Analytics preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with senior leaders to shape reporting strategy and deliver executive-ready insights.
  • Strong knowledge of financial processes, accounting principles, and enterprise data governance.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear narratives for decision-makers.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and influencing skills; proven track record of cross-functional collaboration.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive initiatives from concept to delivery with minimal oversight.

Preferred: 

  • Workday Financials Reporting Pro Certification.
  • Advanced experience with visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.) and database management.
  • Proven experience implementing Workday Prism Analytics for advanced reporting and insights.
  • Integration experience connecting Workday with external systems to expand reporting capabilities.
  • Familiarity with Workday Financials modules including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Expenses, Projects, Business Assets, and Banking & Settlement.
  • Industry experience in agriculture or commodities.
