Position Overview
The Purchasing Buyer is responsible for placing orders for the lowest cost, ensuring receipt of order, and appropriately entering orders into the accounting system to ensure timely payment of invoices and application to the site’s budget. Additionally, the purpose of this position is to negotiate vendor terms, prices and to schedule deliveries using knowledge
of budget and schedule requirements.

Essential Functions

- Process weekly inventory counts.
- Question inventory counts that look unusual.
- Place inventory orders.
- Research special requests/needs obtain approvals and place orders.
- Obtain tracking numbers for he orders placed.
- Track orders placed.
- Received proof of deliveries from vendors as well as site management.
- Verify orders received against orders placed.
- Partner with Accounts Payable team to research any discrepancies.
- Accurately and timely enter information into the accounting software system regarding orders.
- Respond promptly to inquiries from site and executive manager verbally and/or in writing.
Experience and Education Requirements
- High School Diploma.
- Work experience in basic accounting principles preferred.
- Associate degree in Accounting or other related field preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phone, copiers, faxes, and filing cabinets.
The Purchasing Buyer is not limited to the above-mentioned job description and may be requested to do additional tasks as directed by MasterCorp Management.
