Please review the following job description:

Organize and coordinate the servicing of new and renewal accounts according to Company guidelines and instructions from assigned Underwriter. Assist in training and overseeing Underwriting Analysts. Provide high quality professional service to Companies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.
1. Analyze and interpret data of insurance policies to include rating, quoting, binding and invoicing.
2. Prepare and model new and renewal business with minimal supervision of an Underwriter.
3. Conduct rating as assigned by Underwriter.
4. Review policies, endorsements, audits, cancellations, etc., resolve any discrepancies and make changes, as needed.
5. Assist in training Underwriting Analysts on the team.
6. Review and process policy servicing requests (endorsement, audits, Company requests, Certificates, Premium Finance Notices and Cancellations, etc.).
7. Invoice and process new business and renewal binders, premium bearing endorsements, and cancellations according to internal and Company guidelines.
8. Establish New Submissions in the clearance system and handle according to established procedures.
9. Produce cancellation and non-renewal notices according to statutory and contractual requirements under direction of assigned Underwriter.
10. Manage underwriting files on accounts in which policies are not issued and handle according to Company and internal established procedures.
11. Maintain pend/suspense system per established procedures.
12. Maintain account files in accordance with company policy.
13. Respond to queries from insurance producers in regards to accounts and technical questions.
14. Recommend areas of improvement in internal processes along with possible solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
1. College degree with a concentration in business or equivalent work experience
2. Must have five to years of previous Insurance experience in an Underwriting Analyst role
3. State specific Insurance License is encouraged
4. Must be able to understand and analyze necessary components of insurance policies/certificates
5. Strong knowledge of underwriting processes, including classification principles, rating, contract administration, proposal/new business/renewal issuance and property valuations
6. Must have knowledge of commercial multi-line underwriting and rating
7. Must have ability to use company automation systems
8. Ability to develop, foster and maintain an excellent working relationship with clients
9. Ability to work in a team environment
10. Maintain current knowledge of the insurance industry
11. Good written and verbal skills
12. Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products
13. Ability to travel, occasionally overnight
