About the opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with deep expertise in Terraform/Terraform Cloud, Azure, and CI/CD automation to join our dynamic Cloud Infrastructure Engineering and Automation (CIEA) team. In this role, you will play a critical part in designing, implementing, and optimizing scalable cloud infrastructure solutions that power Dayforce’s next-generation cloud-native platforms.
You will work closely with engineering, security, and product teams to drive Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices, streamline onboarding, and enable consistent, secure, and reliable deployment patterns across the enterprise.
Special Requirements
This position requires passing a Dayforce background screening, USFedPASS (US Federal Personnel Authorization Screening Standards). This includes a credit check, criminal/misdemeanor check and taking a drug test. Any employment is contingent upon passing the screening. Due to Federal requirements, only US citizens, US naturalized citizens or US Permanent Residents, holding a green card, will be considered.
What you'll get to do
• Design and develop reusable Terraform modules and automation workflows for deploying Azure infrastructure at scale.
• Drive enhancements to Terraform Cloud workspaces, supporting state management, drift detection, and policy enforcement.
• Implement and improve GitHub Actions pipelines and integrate GitOps workflows using ArgoCD.
• Partner with developers, architects, and security engineers to deliver infrastructure that is secure, scalable, and operationally efficient.
• Participate in code reviews, peer mentoring, and documentation to ensure high-quality engineering standards.
• Contribute to documentation, standards, and tooling that elevate the broader platform engineering practice.
Skills and experience we value
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent experience
• 8+ years in cloud infrastructure, DevOps, or platform engineering roles
• Advanced proficiency with Terraform, Terraform Cloud, Hashi Vault, GitHub Actions, and Azure services
• Experience with Kubernetes (AKS) and GitOps tools such as ArgoCD
• Proficient with scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell
• Solid understanding of Azure networking, identity, RBAC, and security best practices
• Familiarity with image promotion pipelines, container registries (ACR), and GitHub runners
• Experience with GitHub Actions and CI/CD pipeline development
• Ability to analyze complex technical challenges and deliver reliable, scalable solutions
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and evolving technologies
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
