Petrochemicals: Adani Group is making significant strides in the petrochemical landscape with the establishment of its inaugural petrochemical complex, named Green PVC. This initiative aligns with our broader strategy in the petrochemicals, oil & gas, and downstream sectors.The Petrochemicals Business Unit is spearheading the Green PVC project, which entails a substantial investment of INR 26,000 crore. This investment is focused on integrating the acetylene route to facilitate sustainable polyvinyl chloride (PVC) manufacturing. Currently in the execution phase, the project is on track to deliver its first product by June 2026.
Job Purpose: The Construction Piping Lead ensures the successful and timely completion of large-scale piping projects by overseeing site fabrication, erection, construction,coordinating engineering, procurement, and material management activities, and upholding high safety and quality standards. The role involves supervising daily operations, integrating piping activities with other construction efforts, managing project schedules, and liaising with suppliers for timely material delivery. Responsibilities include conducting technical reviews, ensuring compliance with regulations, and implementing cost-control measures. Additionally, the Construction Piping Lead is tasked with proactive risk management, effective change management, comprehensive post-construction support, and leading the team to achieve high performance while fostering a collaborative environment.
Construction Piping Lead-PETCHEM
Site Operations & Oversight:
Achieve timely completion of large-scale piping projects by overseeing execution, ensuring efficient job delegation, and maintaining high safety and quality standards.
Ensure smooth integration of piping activities with other construction efforts by maintaining continuous communication with site teams (e.g., civil, mechanical).
Maintain project progress and address changes by facilitating regular meetings with stakeholders.
Project Planning & Coordination:
Ensure seamless execution of piping jobs by coordinating engineering, procurement, and material management activities.
Maintain project schedules and resource availability, including cranes, hydras, and manpower, by collaborating with planning and project teams.
Ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment by liaising with suppliers.
Implement innovative methods and processes to reduce project time and cost while meeting objectives.
Technical Design Review:
Ensure piping designs meet specifications and standards by conducting technical reviews.
Provide guidance on technical aspects and manage design changes effectively by supporting the team.
Resolve technical issues by collaborating with the design team throughout construction.
Compliance, Quality & Safety Management:
Maintain compliance with industry regulations and standards by ensuring all piping work adheres to safety and quality protocols.
Minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment by implementing safety measures and conducting regular inspections.
Ensure consistent adherence to safety and quality standards by training and mentoring team members.
Budget & Cost Control:
Align project costs with financial goals by managing the budget and controlling expenditures.
Provide management with financial insights by tracking expenditures and preparing regular cost reports.
Optimize resource utilization and achieve cost savings without compromising quality.
Risk & Change Management:
Proactively address potential risks by developing and implementing mitigation plans.
Ensure stakeholder awareness and alignment by communicating risk mitigation plans and change management strategies.
Align project modifications with organizational needs and objectives by managing scope changes effectively.
Commissioning, Handover & Post-construction Support:
Ensure operational readiness of piping systems and successful handover by overseeing the commissioning process.
Address post-construction issues and support long-term satisfaction by providing necessary support.
Maintain comprehensive records of the commissioning and handover process for future reference.
Team Management:
Achieve high performance and project success by managing the team, setting clear goals, and providing regular feedback.

Educational Qualification:
Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
Work Experience (Range of years):
Minimum of 15-20 years in large-scale piping projects.
Hands-on experience with oil & gas projects of a similar scale.
Extensive experience in planning, execution, and coordination of various piping jobs in large-scale industrial projects.
Strong technical skills with proven planning capabilities.
Experience managing multiple stakeholders (both internal and external) and negotiating with large-scale, high-value vendors.
