As a bookkeeper you will work directly with the tax/payroll team to process payroll filings. The successful bookkeeper will be detailed-oriented, thoughtful listener, have a strong team mentality, and be driven to grow professionally and personally.
Responsibilities
Maintain complete and accurate financial records for the company, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations
Process invoices, payments, and expenses promptly and accurately, ensuring proper coding and documentation
Monitor and reconcile bank and credit card statements, identifying and resolving any discrepancies
Perform regular analysis of financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement
Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures, including preparation of financial statements and reports
Qualifications
Associates degree, Accounting or similar
A minimum of 5 years of related experience
Skills and Knowledge
Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Outlook, and Excel
Familiarity with tax software programs (QuickBooks)
Ability to perform 10 key typing accurately and efficiently
Positive attitude toward client relations to provide exceptional, proactive client service
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain the necessary attention to detail
Highly organized with strong analytical skills, creative problem solving and strong research capabilities
Ability to work on a team while maintaining a high level of responsibility and accountability to individual projects and tasks
Able to manage conflicting priorities, deadline-based tasks and simultaneous projects
Clear communicator with strong interpersonal writing and presentation skills
