Requirements
We are seeking an experienced Training Manager with a strong background in the banking sector to design, implement, and oversee training programs that enhance employee skills, improve productivity, and ensure compliance with banking regulations. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of banking products, processes, compliance requirements, and customer service standards, coupled with proven expertise in training program development and delivery.
Key Responsibilities
1. Training Strategy & Planning
- Develop and execute the bank’s training strategy aligned with organizational goals.
- Identify skill gaps and training needs across different departments through assessments and feedback.
- Create annual training calendars for onboarding, product knowledge, compliance, sales, and leadership development.
2. Program Design & Development
- Design and develop comprehensive training modules for retail banking, corporate banking, operations, risk management, and compliance.
- Create interactive, engaging, and practical learning content using a variety of instructional techniques, including classroom training, e-learning, workshops, and simulations.
- Ensure that all training content is up to date with the latest banking regulations and product offerings.
3. Training Delivery & Facilitation
- Conduct training sessions for branch staff, relationship managers, sales teams, and operations personnel.
- Facilitate sessions on banking operations, sales techniques, customer service excellence, and regulatory compliance (KYC, AML, etc.).
- Use blended learning methods to cater to diverse learning preferences and improve knowledge retention.
4. Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Ensure all training programs meet regulatory and compliance requirements mandated by RBI and other authorities.
- Monitor the effectiveness of training through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics.
- Regularly update training materials in line with new banking laws, policies, and internal process changes.
5. Team Management & Collaboration
- Manage and mentor a team of trainers and coordinators to ensure high-quality program delivery.
- Collaborate with department heads to align training initiatives with business priorities.
- Coordinate with HR for onboarding programs and leadership development training.
6. Performance Tracking & Reporting
- Track training attendance, completion rates, and impact on employee performance.
- Prepare and present training effectiveness reports to senior management.
- Recommend continuous improvements in training methods, materials, and delivery formats.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Business, HR, or related field; certification in Training & Development preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in training and development within the banking or BFSI sector.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of banking operations, compliance, and financial products.
- Core Skills: Strong communication, facilitation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Other Skills: Ability to use LMS platforms, create e-learning content, and apply adult learning principles effectively.
