Position Summary: 

Reporting to the Director of Plant Operations, plans, organizes, directs and controls operations activities of the Plant Operations Department, to provide effective upkeep of equipment and facilities in accordance with policies, procedures, standards and practices set by Doctors Hospital of Manteca, Joint Commission, State Department of Health Services and other local and government agencies. Assists Director with construction planning, OSHPOD issues, DHS, architect and completion of all construction projects. Assumes responsibilities of Director of Plant Operations in his/her absence, including all departments assigned under his/her direction.

 

Education:

A.S. Preferred

Engineering or related field

Experience:

5+ years

Licenses/Certifications:

Valid California driver’s license & automobile insurance

Skills / Knowledge /Abilities:

· Sufficient knowledge and experience to facilitate department employees in evaluation, coordination, and completion of work.

· Excellent leadership and communication skills.

· Excellent problem solving, listening and language skills are necessary.

· Must be fluent in spoken and written English with proficient writing.

· Proficient computer skills in programs such as word processing, spreadsheets, database management, and computer maintenance management systems preferred.

· Working knowledge of local, state, federal and Joint Commission requirements.

· Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position.
