Food Production Associate I (PRN | As Needed) - (2500007S)

Description

The Food Production Associate I will produce, portion and label cold food including but not limited to sandwiches, salads, desserts, condiments for patient, cafeteria, and catering. Will complete assigned food pre-preparation needs for production.

Qualifications

Minimum Education
High School Diploma or GED (Required)

Minimum Work Experience
1 year Related experience (Required)

Required Skills/Knowledge
Do basic mathematical calculations, read and comprehend basic English.
Lifting 50 lbs. Maximum, frequently lifting of 25 lbs.
Must be able to go into refrigerated/freezer areas for some supplies.

Functional Accountabilities
Culinary/Productivity

Prepare cold food according to standardized recipes and production sheet needs, including but not limited to portion control, garnish and presentation.

Assist with hot food pre-preparation as needed.

Maintain appropriate records of food temperatures, production and usage.

Maintain and ensure food safety standards.

Safety/Sanitation

Maintain a clean, sanitary work environment throughout shift according to the standards of the department, hospital and regulatory agencies.

Utilize HACCP process during all aspects of food production.

Perform cleaning assignments as assigned.

Communication

Communicate to Management all food quality and availability issues, equipment status, customer and staffing issues.

Communicate to management unresolved customer service issues within 24 hours.

Complete quality control documentation including but not limited to chill time & temperature and preparation time and temperatures.

Professionalism

Adhere to all department and hospital policies and procedures.

Maintain a professional image by adhering to department uniform guidelines.

Regularly adhere to department schedules.
