Job Overview
The Itinerant Campus Compliance Coordinator (CCC) ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations regarding special education services across multiple campuses. This role includes facilitating ARD (Admission, Review, and Dismissal) meetings, supporting case managers, monitoring timelines, and collaborating with staff to uphold high standards of documentation and service delivery at both elementary and secondary levels.
Position Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Facilitate ARD committee meetings (initials, annuals, amendments, reviews) and ensure compliance with federal and state timelines.
- Coordinate special education paperwork, evaluations, and IEPs in collaboration with teachers, service providers, and assessment staff
- Ensure ARD documents reflect individualized, compliant programming
- Track critical compliance timelines (evaluations, annuals, initials, re-evaluations) and submit required forms and data to the Special Education Department on time
- Maintain and update district systems and compliance trackers (e.g., Online Student Management System, Skyward, spreadsheets, and any new initiatives)
- Provide support to teachers in drafting compliant PLAAFPs, goals, accommodations, and service schedules
- Assist with Extended School Year (ESY) documentation, progress monitoring, and eligibility decisions
- Review and correct student files to ensure data integrity
- Ensure accurate and timely record transfer when students enter/exit DAEP
- Use technology to schedule meetings, organize data, and manage documentation efficiently
- Submit transportation, PEIMS, ESY, and other required data by due dates
- Respond to audit findings and support corrective action at the campus level
- Provide professional guidance and training to campus staff on special education processes and compliance
- Maintain confidentiality and foster respectful, professional communication with staff, families, and administrators
- Support implementation of IEPs and instructional alignment across services
- Attend required district meetings and trainings related to special education
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Program Manager of Compliance
- Ensure the campus has clear, documented procedures in place for all key compliance areas, including but not limited to ARD scheduling and preparation, documentation, progress reporting, IEP implementation, campus checkout, timely processing of paperwork, and procedures for SPED students enrolling or withdrawing
- Act as the liaison to building personnel and Central Office staff

- Bachelor's degree
- Master's degree, preferred
- Valid Texas Teacher Certification
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in special education
- Leadership experience in staff support or development
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong knowledge of ARD processes, IEP development, and state/federal compliance requirements
- Ability to interpret and apply relevant special education law, policy, and procedures
