Description:

The Laundry Aide plays a vital role in maintaining the comfort and dignity of our residents by ensuring their personal laundry and facility linens are cleaned, sanitized, and returned in a timely manner. This position supports the overall cleanliness and infection control standards of the community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect, sort, and wash resident clothing, linens, and facility laundry according to established procedures.
• Operate commercial washers and dryers safely and efficiently.
• Fold, organize, and distribute clean laundry to appropriate areas.
• Monitor laundry supplies and report inventory needs.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area.
• Follow infection control protocols and safety guidelines.
• Assist with other housekeeping duties as needed.
• Communicate respectfully and compassionately with residents and staff.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in laundry services or housekeeping in a healthcare or senior living setting is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
• Commitment to resident dignity and confidentiality.
