Quality Assurance Engineer

The Quality Assurance engineer specializing in service portal applications plays a crucial role in ensuring the high quality of Nokia Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions. This professional is responsible for designing comprehensive test plans that outline specific testing strategies and methodologies tailored to the application's requirements. 

• Test Planning and Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive test plans and strategies based on project requirements and specifications. Test Case Design: Create detailed, reusable, and effective test cases and test scripts for functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
• Manual Testing: Conduct manual testing of applications to identify defects and ensure quality standards are met.
• Automated Testing: Design and implement automated tests using relevant testing frameworks and tools to improve efficiency and coverage.
• Performance Testing: Conduct performance, load, and stress testing to evaluate application stability and responsiveness under varying conditions.
• Defect Identification: Identify, record, and track defects using JIRA; collaborate with development teams to ensure timely resolution. Requirements Analysis: Collaborate with product managers, developers to understand requirements and identify testing needs.
• Test Environment Setup: Set up and maintain test environments, including configuration of software, and network settings.
• Continuous Improvement: Participate in ongoing process improvements within the Quality Assurance team and contribute to the development of best practices for testing. Documentation: Document testing processes, test cases, and results to maintain comprehensive records of testing activities.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with development, Product Life Cycle Management(PLM) and User Experience(UX) teams to ensure alignment on quality expectations and deliverables. Reporting: Generate and present test summary reports, defect reports, and metrics to management to inform stakeholders of testing progress and quality status.

   

You have:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science or equivalent with overall 10+ years of Quality Assurance experience
• Web application automation testing, python automation, Selenium automation testing
• Certifications such as International Software Testing Quality Board (ISTQB) or similar
• Basic understanding of networking such as Internet Protocol Security(IPSEC)
• Sanity, functional, and performance regression testing
• Experience using GitLab, Hands-on experience in Docker & Kubernetes, JIRA Bug handling

It would be nice if you also had:

• JIRA x-ray test framework knowledge would be an added advantage
• Having prior Quality Assurance experience in Nokia web application portal products would be a great addition
