About the Team
TikTok's mission is to inspire creativity and bring joy. As a platform that thrives on self-expression, it's crucial that our users feel safe and comfortable in our community. Our policies and tools are developed to promote a positive and safe environment. The US Trust and Safety team is dedicated to protecting our users, viewers, and content creators globally, making TikTok a secure place for everyone.
About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Training Specialist to join our USDS Training and Development team. In this highly visible role on our centralized Training and Development team, you'll be a key driver in making sure our global vendor partners are equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to uphold our safety standards.
You'll act as the subject matter expert for specific lines of business, delivering training programs and empowering other trainers, quality assurance specialists, and leaders at our vendor sites. You'll partner with product and internal teams to own the training strategy and delivery for new or emerging products.
This is an opportunity for someone who is passionate about learning and development and thrives in a dynamic environment. You'll use your strong project management skills to own, scope, and manage training initiatives from start to finish, translating complex policy changes into effective, engaging learning solutions.
This role performs a critical function that supports our efforts to address objectionable or disturbing content. Content that this role interacts with includes images, video, and text related to every-day life, but it can also include (but is not limited to) bullying; hate speech; child abuse; sexual assault; torture; bestiality; self-harm; suicide; and murder.
It is possible that this role will be exposed to harmful content on a daily basis.
In order to enhance collaboration and cross-functional partnerships, among other things, at this time, our organization follows a hybrid work schedule that requires employees to work in the office 3 days a week, or as directed by their manager/department. We regularly review our hybrid work model, and the specific requirements may change at any time.
Responsibilities
- Become the subject matter expert for specific Trust and Safety products or lines of business for Content Moderation or User Support Operations
- Deliver and own multi-day, instructor-led training and Train-the-Trainer programs for our vendor partners.
- Certify, lead, and support trainers, QAs, and Leaders across all of our vendor locations to ensure consistent quality.
- Own, scope, and manage training projects from initiation to execution, ensuring effective and timely delivery.
- Partner with product, policy, and internal teams to own the training strategy and delivery for new or emerging products.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop and review training materials, including knowledge checks and assessments, to measure learning outcomes.
- Translate complex policy updates into clear and effective training content that aligns with adult learning principles.
- Work cross-functionally with policy and quality teams to identify performance gaps and create solutions.
- Partner with stakeholders and vendor training teams to develop effective training strategies.
