Key Components:

This position is reserved for Federal Work Study (FWS) students only. This position is ideal for students looking to gain hands-on experience in digital marketing and social media management, perfect for students pursuing a career in marketing or communications. 

  • In a student employee capacity, may assist in working with external community service partners.
  • Help manage Waco Civic Theatre’s social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter).
  • Create engaging content, including posts, stories, and event promotions.
  • Assist in developing marketing strategies for upcoming shows and events.
  • Photograph rehearsals and shows for post content and theatre records.
  • Analyze social media metrics and provide insights to improve engagement.
  • Coordinate with the marketing team to ensure brand consistency.

Job Description:

  • Work with local organization(s) or community partners
  • Provide excellent customer service as a representative of the University
  • May assist with planning, organizing, and implementing community services or programs
  • May assist with various projects, activities or tasks related to community projects
  • May contribute to developing and maintaining good relationships with internal and external partners
  • May serve as a source to provide information about resources and assistance related to community program(s) or service(s)
  • May serve to enhance outreach for the greater Waco community 
  • Ensure confidentiality of all pertinent information
  • May prepare and present information in a group or workshop setting
  • Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor’s mission  
  • Ability to comply with University policies  
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance

  • Content Creation & Digital Marketing – Gain hands-on experience in writing engaging captions, designing graphics, and editing photos/videos for promotional use.
  • Branding & Audience Engagement – Learn how to maintain a consistent brand voice and interact with followers to grow an online community.
  • Creative Problem-Solving – Learn to troubleshoot design challenges, adapt marketing strategies, and respond to audience trends.
