We are looking for a Manufacturing Operations Team Leader which is an entry to middle level management role. Based on your skills and interests as well as our business need, this position is responsible for all daily operations of their respective area. This includes line performance, personnel management, and continuous improvement activities. This role is expected to work flexible hours as the business needs dictate, especially ensuring the connection of all shifts within your responsibility.

Daily Responsibilities can consist of the following:
Manufacturing Operations Team Leaders drive our efforts in identifying and driving out losses through systemic work process execution and standard development. They support the daily activities of the production line and/or processing areas and build long term capability to sustain the results.
- Identifying, prioritizing, analyzing, and eliminating losses and inefficiencies
- Collaborating with technical experts, other functions, and other manufacturing sites to create the best solutions
- Creating learning programs and coaching and training technicians
- Creating and improving standards to enable us to achieve the performance targets for the site.
- Understanding and working with automated equipment
- Leading a team of employees in different shifts and or departments
- High presence on the manufacturing floor (>50% of time)
- Works with the maintenance planner, process/quality leader and process technical leader to deliver the business objectives.
- Coaches and develops shift Team Leaders to deliver expected business results.
- Owns pay administration and attendance management for the department.
- Manages incident tracking and absence reporting.
- Drives operational excellence through Run-to-Target execution of DDS, CIL, Defect Handling, Breakdown Elimination, Planning & Scheduling, AM/PM
ONGOING RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reliability
- Manage systemic issues with equipment reliability and leads gap analysis and action plan (Hoshin).
- Owns overall team plan (integrating staffing, training, leadership role changes, etc.).
Process Control
- Leads Work Process Improvement initiatives.
- Ensure centerlines and CILs are adhered to and communicates changes to personnel.
- Ensure that technicians are following operating standards as appropriate.
Quality
- Owns process capability (PpK) and daily action plan for respective lines.
- Ensure that technicians are following operating standards as appropriate.
Delivery
- Responsible for coaching technicians to deliver desired results.
- Holds 1:1s/ performance evaluations across the department.
- Holds team members accountable to standards.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Have a BS/MS degree in engineering or technical field; preferably Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Chemical Engineering (Mechanical aptitude highly preferable) or proven experience in similar roles
- 3-5 years of supervisory experience working in an automated manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
- Must demonstrate aptitude to manage people, set the example by own conduct and work habits, make prompt and competent decisions, and use authority wisely.
- Ability to have a flexible work schedule when needed- to accommodate our 24-hour operations
- Ability to coach, motivate, and hold employees accountable.
- Must be able to work independently under pressure in a fast-paced and changing manufacturing environment.
