DNV Energy Systems is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to lead our operational excellence and change management activities in the Energy Systems North America. This is a newly established role in the North America region. You will report to both the Finance and Performance Manager and the Global Operational Excellence Lead, while working closely with the Regional Leadership Team and the global network of Operational Excellence Managers.
As part of the global operational excellence team, the Operational Excellence Manager will drive step-change improvements in operational performance, delivering greater value to customers, employees, DNV Energy Systems, and society. This will be done by developing and leveraging our Lean Operational Excellence methodology, empowering teams, and leading key improvement initiatives to achieve measurable benefits.
This role is based at our DNV office in Katy, TX. We present a dynamic hybrid schedule, where employees typically spend three (3) days per week working from a DNV office or client location/site. Further details regarding role-specific requirements will be shared during the interview process.
What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with the Global Operational Excellence Lead to identify, prioritize, and launch improvement pilots across the North America Region
- Provide proactive coaching on Lean management, problem-solving and process improvement, and to manager- and employee-led improvement pilots and initiatives, and support as required
- Collaborate closely with a global team of Operational Excellence Managers and share lessons learned
- Lead and proactively drive Operational Excellence and Change Management initiatives
- Assist in designing, refining and tailoring Lean Operational Excellence, Performance Management, and Change Management concepts
- Develop Lean Operational Excellence learning paths and deliver training (both in-person and virtually)
- Occasional travel may be required

What Is Required
- Experience from Operational Excellence initiatives in the service industry
- 5-10 years of Operational Excellence consulting experience
- Experience with commercial processes
- Strong analytical and business problem-solving skills
- Proven experience in operational improvements and change management
- Proven experience in delivering coaching (or a strong interest)
- Proven experience with Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, or similar methodologies (or a strong interest)
- Experience working in an international environment
- Self-motivated, proactive, resilient, and able to cope with high-pressure situations
- Excellent communication, influencing and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of both physical and virtual teams
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
