DNV Inspection Korea is looking for a Project coordinator who is motivated to be a part of our growing team in Korea. The Project coordinator will be responsible for the coordination of the day-to-day activities of managing inspections and the relationships between coordinators in other offices globally and inspectors as per contractual obligations, focusing on key clients' operations. This covers all activities from sourcing qualified inspectors to approving project reports, a variety of administrative tasks and following up the financial performance of assignments.

The candidate is expected to work on projects, ranging from mobilizing inspectors to smaller assignments to coordination of large multi-million-dollar projects across several countries. The successful candidate has experience with inspection or similar activities such as verification, certification or testing of materials, components, processes and production systems. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Operationally coordinate projects for procurement support services, such as vendor inspection, expediting, other second and third-party activities. Ensure that inspection program is performed in accordance with the approved Quality Plan, ITP and Quality Procedure.   

  • Search and select promptly the most competent and close personnel to carry out the activity requested by the customer, being responsible for the quality execution of the service and costs

  • Plan, schedule of workload and assign field personnel, ensuring that the project requirements are understood and met by field personnel

  • Assist field personnel in the execution of their assigned responsibilities

  • Reviewing applicable job requirements determine inspector requirements.

  • Verify that requests for inspections are consistent with the approved ITP.

  • Ensure approved Inspector attends kick off meeting with Vendors / Contractors to ensure Quality objectives and expectations are addressed and clearly understood.

  • Evaluate field personnel performance

  • Ensure that all data entry into DNV systems is performed in accordance with the agreed systems and procedures

  • Ensure services are supplied to customers' (both internal and external) requirements within the project quality, safety, timeliness and cost targets

  • Ensure that all inspection results / observations are reported in the web-based system in timely manner. 
  • Read and understand contract terms and inspection assignment obligations.

  • A bachelor of science or engineering. 

  • 10+ years work experience, of which 5+ years inspection or energy experience

  • Fluency in Korean and English (read and write inspection and technical reports)
  • Knowledge of procurement, manufacturing and fabrication. 
  • Good technical understanding, knowledge of international codes and standards preferred (API, ASME, ASTM, ANSI, BS, EN, MESC coding, etc.). 

  • IRCA registered Lead Assessor or equivalent is a plus.

  • Knowledge of project planning and scheduling

  • Able to work independently and in teams at a high paced environment

  • Service minded, cooperative, a team player with excellent organizational and administration skills

  • Strong communication skills and networking abilities

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications 

  • Experience with Salesforce ( other similar ) production tools
