Business IT Analyst/ Developer
The Business IT Analyst/Developer serves as the bridge between business needs and IT solutions, combining analytical skills with technical expertise. This role involves analysing business requirements, designing technical solutions to support digital transformation efforts. The role ensures business efficiency through IT-driven improvements while also developing and optimizing software applications.
Job Responsibilities:
IT Analysis and Development
- Analyze functional requirements and collect, select, structure, combine, and interpret internal and external data, information, and developments relevant to Guardian Group - Fatum.
- Perform feasibility studies and impact analysis in close cooperation with business stakeholders and IT teams.
- Identify and evaluate new IT developments, systems, solutions, and tooling, advising on potential improvement opportunities and the advantages or disadvantages of implementation.
- Design, document, and support the implementation of enhancements or modifications to existing applications and systems.
- Solve second- and third-line escalated problems or incidents, provide alternative solutions, monitor issue resolution, and coordinate with outsourcing partners when necessary.
- Keep IT expertise up to date regarding systems, applications, methods, and techniques to advise on new developments and opportunities.
Business Analysis & Requirements Management
- Collect and analyze data on new and existing business operations and processes to recommend best practices and procedures that improve productivity and reduce costs.
- Conduct capability analysis to assess organizational strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.
- Perform research and analysis related to customer behavior, product quality, user experience, operational effectiveness, and financial impact.
- Conduct feasibility and risk analysis on potential solutions and prioritize alternatives based on business impact.
- Communicate business results, operational analysis, and change recommendations to management.
- Design integrated, high-level solutions that align with business needs, production operability, and budget constraints.
- Identify resource requirements, document business requirements, and quantify business impact.
- Develop business cases to justify investments and expected returns for key initiatives.
- Manage requirements documentation, prioritization, validation, and approval processes.
- Facilitate stakeholder engagement sessions to translate business problems and opportunities into desired project outcomes.
- Organize problem-solving meetings to determine solutions while considering business constraints.
- Revise proposed processes and procedures, identifying opportunities to achieve better results while optimizing resource utilization.
- Work in Agile or Scrum teams to develop and deploy IT solutions.
- Facilitate meetings between business stakeholders, developers, and IT teams.
- Support IT project implementation by defining requirements, conducting testing, and providing training to end users.
Project & Process Management
- Contribute to and participate in IT projects, ensuring alignment between business and technical teams.
- Develop project documentation, work effort estimates, and resourcing requirements.
- Manage and support agile methodologies in IT development projects.
- Support budget development, maintenance, and analysis of IT-related expenditures.
- Contribute to the development of IT policies, procedures, and guidelines, ensuring alignment with industry best practices.
- Execute other duties as assigned to maintain continuity of business operations.
Education and Experience:
- Min. bachelor’s degree (HBO) in business management, management information systems or equivalent
- Min. 3 years’ experience in a Business Analyst, IT Developer, or a hybrid role
- Experience in software development, IT systems analysis, or business process optimization.
- Previous experience in insurance or financial services is preferred
- Software Development: Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, SQL).
- Business Process Analysis: Understanding of business models and workflow automation.
- Agile & Scrum Methodologies: Experience working in Agile environments.
- IT Systems & CRM: Experience with ERP, CRM systems (such as C360), and cloud platforms.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Ability to use SQL, Power BI, or other reporting tools.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
