Key Responsibilities
- Maintain high attention to detail while following all safety practices
- Use a batch card to perform the pre-weighing of ingredients
- Efficiently start up and operate an automated mixing system using HMI panels
- Start up and shut down equipment, monitor machine performance, operate equipment efficiently, complete required documentation, and perform changeovers as needed
- Ensure the product meets quality standards according to product specifications
- Verify all equipment is operational and perform basic troubleshooting to resolve machine-related issues
- Follow procedures on specification sheets to ensure the correct ingredients are used consistently for each product run
- Identify and obtain required ingredients as needed
- Visually inspect ingredients for any foreign objects
- Perform simple mathematical calculations
- Properly weigh, mix, and add ingredients to the batch
- Record and log lot codes for all ingredients used
- Obtain and log slurry samples for QA testing
- Ensure the product remains within the proper weight range
- Operate the kettle, grinder, and whipper within defined parameters
- Use the HMI/control panel effectively and monitor speed
- Monitor and maintain proper whip percentage
- Visually monitor batch progress
- Maintain correct product temperature and consistency
- Ensure the kettle remains full at all times

Requirements
We believe a successful Mixer will have the following qualifications:
Education / Certificates / Licenses / Experience
- High School Diploma or GED required
- A minimum of 1–2 years of previous experience in a food manufacturing production setting preferred
- Previous HMI panel experience is ideal
- Proficiency in working with iPads and computer software
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Basic math skills (addition and subtraction)
- Strong hand-eye coordination
- Ability to consistently follow processes and standard work instructions
- Effective team player with strong communication skills
- Ability to read and understand written instructions
- Flexibility with work schedule to accommodate high production volumes
- Basic writing ability to complete necessary paperwork
- Ability to safely use a manual hand jack
- Willingness to cross-train and assist in other processing areas as needed
