We are looking to add to our team a IT Help Desk Technician. This position offers a variety of great benefits, including health insurance, 401(k), and paid time off.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with a Call Management and Ticketing System.
  • Installation, configuration and support of Microsoft Desktop Operating Systems (Windows and Mac OS.)
  • Installation, configuration and support of Microsoft Desktop Applications (Office Suites and Office 365)
  • Provide remote desktop support for end users’ workstations
  • Provide support for common IT tasks (password resets, new user setups, etc.)
  • Document, track, and monitor support requests and provide timely feedback to end users during and upon resolution.
  • Troubleshoot Network, VOIP, Internet connectivity problems, peripherals (printers, scanners, and other devices)
  • Assist the Senior Network Engineers with installation, administration, and testing of network servers, operating system software, hubs, routers, switches, cabling etc.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Demonstrates a high “HQ” (Hospitality Quotient) consisting of kindness & optimism, intellectual curiosity, work ethic, empathy, self-awareness, and integrity. 
  • Must have own transportation, a valid California state drivers’ license, and able to travel to multiple dealerships on a regular basis.
  • Experience: 3+ years experience in an IT support or similar role in an enterprise environment.
  • Certifications: A+ Certification minimum; Network + Certification preferred.
  • Skill: Understanding of LAN design, network protocols, client configuration, IP addressing, and remote connectivity.
  • Experience using a ticketing system.
  • Solid troubleshooting skills with the ability to quickly identify and resolve issues.
  • Solid knowledge of PC operating systems (Both Windows & Mac OS required).
  • Experience performing hardware and software upgrades.
  • Proven ability to: work independently as well as part of a team, effectively multi- task, consistently meet deadlines, prioritize and organize work load.


Physical Requirements:

  • Lifting and moving equipment: You may need to lift and carry items like computers, monitors, printers, and other peripherals. This can range from light to moderate lifting, sometimes up to 40-50 pounds.
  • Bending, stooping, kneeling, and crouching: These movements are necessary for tasks such as connecting cables under desks, accessing equipment in tight spaces, or working on systems on the floor.
  • Reaching: You may need to reach overhead or at or below shoulder level to install or access equipment.
  • Standing and walking: While much of the work is seated, on-site support often requires walking around an office or building to assist different users.
  • Manual dexterity: The ability to handle and manipulate small objects and tools is important for tasks like installing components or repairing hardware.
  • Sitting for extended periods: This is a fundamental part of the job, as most tasks involve working at a computer, answering phones, and managing helpdesk tickets.
