A bit about the role
This role leads the delivery of Casey’s dumped rubbish and litter service improvements, driving efficiency, coordination, and community engagement through targeted anti-littering and illegal dumping initiatives.
What you’ll deliver
- Lead a cross-departmental task force to address litter and illegal dumping, implement recommendations, align contract processes, and unify community messaging.
- Develop and implement a Council-wide framework to ensure consistent litter management practices and contractor accountability.
- Introduce revised Service Level Agreement timeframes and system enhancements to improve the processing and management of litter and dumped rubbish requests.
- Strengthen collaboration through shared data platforms, inter-agency meetings, and targeted business improvement initiatives.
What you’ll bring
- Tertiary studies in environment and/or sustainability would be preferred
- Strong project management experience and ability to record and track data
- Ability to engage effectively with key internal and external stakeholders with clear communication skills
- Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check and Eligibility to Work check,
- A curious, collaborative, and inclusive community mindset.
