We are seeking an FP&A Analyst in the Finance Group of our wealth management firm, located in Cleveland, Ohio. The candidate will play a key role in driving financial planning, analysis, and reporting activities within the organization. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights, support strategic decision-making, and ensure effective budgeting and forecasting processes. This position requires a basic understanding of financial analysis and budget management. The successful candidate will strive for continuous improvement in the organization’s financial analysis tools, business partnership and controllership. 

  

This position offers work from home availability 2 days per week after initial training period.


In this position you will:


Financial Planning and Analysis:

  • Support the financial planning & analysis process, including annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning
  • Partner with business leaders to build financial models, evaluate performance, and generate insights to guide decision-making
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), analyze financial trends, and flag risks and opportunities
  • Contribute to the preparation of monthly operating and financial review packages, as well as quarterly board presentations
  • Perform scenario and sensitivity analyses to assess business strategies and investment opportunities
  • Develop and deliver financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for leadership and key stakeholders

Business Partnership:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop financial strategies and drive initiatives to achieve financial goals
  • Foster effective communication and collaboration between finance and other departments to align financial objectives and operational activities

Requirements

  

The successful candidate will have:

  • 1-3 years of relevant professional experience 
  • Undergraduate degree in business, finance, accounting, or related field required
  • A master’s degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA) are a plus
  • Basic knowledge of financial principles, accounting standards, and financial statement analysis
  • Comfort with and at least moderate proficiency in Excel, including use of spreadsheet formulas and functionality
  • Ability to manage competing deadlines with accuracy
  • Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with coworkers and management about the finances of the business
  • Solid interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills
  • Analytical mindset with business-oriented thinking
