We are seeking a mid-level professional with a strong analytical background and a proactive, problem-solving mindset to join our team. In this role, you will monitor and analyze sales performance, uncover trends and opportunities, and turn data into actionable insights that drive results. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams—including sourcing, operations, and internal stakeholders—to optimize product placement, improve inventory flow, and support strategic decision-making.
Success in this role requires strong organizational and time management skills, as well as the ability to clearly communicate complex data insights to both internal and external leadership. Experience with Walmart’s Retail Link system and proficiency in tools like Excel, Tableau, Power BI, Domo, and Alloy are essential. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and is eager to contribute to the growth and efficiency of the business.
Essential Functions:
- Monitor and analyze sales performance to identify trends, seasonality, issues, and opportunities for growth
- Conduct in-depth data analysis and reporting; translate complex data into clear, actionable insights
- Present findings and recommendations to internal and external leadership, supported by well-structured data stories
- Utilize Walmart’s Retail Link system for forecasting, reporting, and managing product distribution
- Partner with external sourcing teams to assess Walmart store-level performance and optimize item placement to drive sales
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate and efficient inventory flow
- Work with external sourcing partners to develop joint business plans and align on strategy
- Support the operations team with item setup, costing, packaging specifications, pallet and container configurations, and related logistics
- Mentor and collaborate with team members to promote knowledge-sharing and continuous improvement
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field, or equivalent experience
- 3–5 years of experience in analytics, retail analysis, merchandising, supply chain, or operations
- Completion of Walmart Education courses is a plus
- Proficiency in data tools including Excel, Tableau, Power BI, Domo, and Alloy
- Experience using Domo or a demonstrated ability to learn quickly
- Prior experience working with Walmart systems and processes is a plus
