Description
The Membership Recruitment Manager supports the Director of Membership Recruitment by developing and executing strategies to recruit new members and volunteers across 30 counties. This role builds strategic partnerships, coaches the field team, and optimizes recruitment systems to achieve mission driven goals.
Requirements
- Build relationships with various community locations including schools, faith-based institutions, and libraries within GSHPA’s 30-county footprint for the purpose of reaching potential new members.
- Coordinate with various community locations to facilitate the delivery of Girl Scout recruitment information/materials.
- Identify and schedule events at various community locations for Recruitment Specialists to attend.
- Supervise and coach Recruitment Specialists to help them effectively implement the recruitment strategy in the field.
- Attend recruitment events and give presentations throughout assigned territory.
- Collaborate with the Membership Registration team to ensure effective conversion of leads.
- Collaborate with the Membership Engagement Department to identify opportunities for girl and volunteer recruitment/placement.
- Collaborate with other GSHPA departments to leverage existing programs and platforms to support recruitment campaigns.
- Evaluate reports from events, activities, and follow-up rates and provide suggestions for improvements to the recruitment strategy.
- Work alongside the Director of Membership Recruitment to improve processes that ensure a streamlined approach to membership recruitment and conversion that simplifies administrative processes and focuses on excellent customer experiences for all prospective members from the initial interest through the time that membership has been purchased.
- Work alongside the Director of Membership Recruitment to drive volunteer and girl membership growth that meets the council’s new member goals based on data.
Qualifications, Skills & Abilities
- Bachelors degree or five years or more of work experience in recruitment, sales, or community outreach, with a proven track record of meeting goals.
- Two years or more of experience supervising teams.
- Experience building or scaling programs is preferred.
- Experience working effectively with diverse populations.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills: ability to inspire trust and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficient in CRM systems, MS Office, and virtual meeting tools.
- Strong persuasive communication- able to articulate the value of Girl Scouts to diverse audiences.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Strong problem-solving and adaptability; ability to thrive in a startup-like environment.
- Passionate about youth development, and community empowerment.
- "Can-do" attitude; willing to travel when necessary and work flexible hours.
- Self-motivated and resourceful- willing to initiate contact with schools, community leaders, and families to expand access.
- Possess and maintain a valid driver's license; access to reliable transportation required.
- Pass and maintain required background clearances.
- Travel throughout the organization’s 30-county footprint, as needed.
- Efficiently operate standard office equipment.
- Lift/carry up to 25 lbs.
- Sitting, standing, or walking for a moderate period of time is required.
