Senior Portfolio Manager Equity Selection – Specialist in Global Large-Cap Strategies with Expertise in Rules-Based Investing

We are looking for a Senior Equity Portfolio Manager with a strong analytical background, specializing in global large-cap and high dividend yielding equities. The ideal candidate is experienced in applying quantitative models and rules-based investment approaches.

You will be responsible for managing equity strategies, with a focus on generating global stock investment ideas, managing existing equity positions, and active decisions making on portfolio construction and tactical portfolio positioning:

• Develop new equity investment proposals, leveraging bottom-up fundamental equity analysis, including monitoring news flow and updating investment rationales. 

• Manage existing equity positions and portfolios, weighting positions based on both fundamental analysis and quantitative insights to optimize allocation and construct portfolios.

• Actively collaborate with PM colleagues to shape the strategic and tactical direction of equity investing, with a particular focus on rules-based approaches.

• Engage with quantitative analysis colleagues to enhance equity screening, portfolio construction, and risk management processes.

Requirements

• University degree or equivalent qualification such as CIIA/CEFA or CFA.

• Minimum of 5 years' professional experience in the equity markets, either on the sell side or in asset management.

• Experience in equity portfolio manament in selecting stocks is a must.

• Experience in managing ESG-oriented portfolios is a plus.

• Strong background in fundamental equity analysis, combined with experience in applying quantitative models and rules-based strategies.

• Proficiency in Excel-based company financial models and familiarity with portfolio management applications (e.g., Avaloq, MSCI Barra) and market data applications (e.g., Bloomberg).

• Strong interest in financial market topics, particularly rules-based investment strategies and high dividend yield portfolios.

• Display of both conviction and humility in assessing the merits of investment proposals, both in accepting feedback and challenging colleagues across the team.
