Job Responsibilities:
- Perform engineering activities throughout all phases of a project lifecycle, including field inspections, subsurface explorations, evaluation, analysis, design, and engineering services during construction.
- Review instrumentation data and prepare instrumentation layouts and designs.
- Prepare design calculations, engineering reports, construction drawings and technical specifications.
- Work as a team member within the Denver office and across other Schnabel offices to effectively balance workload among available resources.
- Observe construction and perform materials testing.
- Willingness and ability to perform field work and travel, including assignments that may last several weeks or months away from the office.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Civil Engineering or related field from an ABET-accredited program
- 3+ years of professional experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in engineering software related to one’s field of specialization.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. Candidate should be prepared to provide examples of their technical writing.
- Time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
- Critical thinking and the ability to begin and progress designs.
- A strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a desire to perform professionally with a team at a high level.
- A commitment to being an active participant in our office culture.
- Successful completion of the EIT or plans to complete for future ability to become a Licensed Professional Engineer.
Other Requirements:
- Ability to pass a background check which may include criminal history, motor vehicle record, and credit check.
- Must be willing and able to perform field work and travel.
- Ability to lift 60 pounds and be physically able to safely negotiate construction sites.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
The compensation range for this position is between $65,000 to $95,600. Compensation for this position may vary based on geographic location and other factors. We remain committed to providing competitive and equitable compensation to all employees, regardless of their location.
