Description
As part of the growth of Arrow, we are recruiting a paralegal to support the fund management side of the business as it continues to expand. The role holder will be joining a dynamic legal transactions team with the opportunity to experience direct access to and work alongside senior team members in a growing organisation. Accordingly, the role offers opportunity for wide-ranging experience, progression, and strong performance will be quickly recognised. The role holder will work in the Legal team, supporting the qualified lawyers and the wider business across several areas.Key Responsibilities
- Work alongside the fund finance and operations teams dealing with various processes in relation to implementing investments within the fund structure such as note issuances, intercompany agreements, liaising with service providers etc;
- Review and negotiate documents such as NDAs, offer letters and engagement letters and reporting any red flags that may arise;
- Assist the Legal Counsel and Senior Legal Counsel with execution of legal transactions, such as credit acquisitions and real estate lending opportunities, involving working with external counsel and Arrow’s investment teams to manage transaction delivery, drafting and reviewing transaction documents and supporting due diligence;
- Work with external service providers and senior board appointees to assist in managing the fund and Arrow’s corporate entities within the structure including arranging board meetings, reviewing minutes etc;
- Deal with any BAU matters together with external service providers; and
- Assist in document management and retention for fund transactions including updating document systems with bibles, passing on documents to key service providers, etc.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Prior paralegal experience within an asset management, banking or financial services environment
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively and work to tight deadlines
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with internal stakeholders and external counterparties
- Attention to detail & accuracy
- Ability to work autonomously and escalate key issues to relevant team members
- Experience of working with a variety of document management systems such as iManage and SharePoint, as well as legal research tools.
