We do all this by releasing companies from the burden of cash management, putting cash to work, and helping customers enhance the value that their staff and facilities add to their business.  ROLE PURPOSE We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Oracle OCI and Linux Engineer to join our Infrastructure & Security Applications team. This role is pivotal in managing and optimizing our Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Linux environments, with a strong focus on supporting Oracle JD Edwards (JDE) systems.A key aspect of this role involves working closely with our Oracle support partner, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). You will act as the primary technical liaison, overseeing the quality and effectiveness of their support activities. This includes monitoring their day-to-day operations, validating that all patching and maintenance tasks are completed on schedule, and ensuring that system upgrades and enhancements are reviewed, approved, and implemented in line with business needs.You will also be responsible for ensuring that all OCI, Linux, and JDE environments are maintained according to industry and internal best practices. This includes enforcing compliance with security standards, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring that all infrastructure changes are well-documented and aligned with change management protocols.This is a hands-on engineering role that also requires strategic oversight, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to influence both internal stakeholders and external partners.

• Design, implement, and manage Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services including compute, networking, storage, and database.
• Administer and optimize Linux systems (Oracle Linux, RHEL, etc.) across development, test, and production environments.
• Provide expert-level support for Oracle JD Edwards (JDE) EnterpriseOne, including installation, configuration, patching, and performance tuning.
• Collaborate closely with TCS, our Oracle support partner, to coordinate issue resolution, upgrades, and service improvements.
• Ensure timely and consistent patching of all OCI, Linux, and JDE systems in accordance with security and compliance policies.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or OCI Resource Manager.
• Monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive improvements.
• Support disaster recovery planning and execution for both OCI and JDE environments.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing across teams.
• Work alongside Oracle DBAs and provide support where needed, including understanding database architecture, performance tuning, and backup strategies.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Linux systems engineering and administration.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
• 3+ years of experience supporting Oracle JD Edwards (JDE) EnterpriseOne in a technical capacity.
• 3+ years Oracle DBA experience
• Strong scripting and automation skills (e.g., Bash, Python).
• Solid understanding of OCI architecture, networking, and security.
• Experience with JDE tools release upgrades, ESUs, and troubleshooting CNC issues.
• Proven experience managing patching cycles and compliance reporting.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., OCI Monitoring, Prometheus, Grafana).

Preferred Qualifications

• Oracle certifications (e.g., OCI Architect Professional, JD Edwards CNC).
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of ITIL practices and change management processes.
• Exposure to hybrid cloud and ERP modernization strategies.
• Working knowledge of Oracle DBA support, including database performance, backup/recovery, and patching.
