Job Responsibilities:

-- Demonstrate a caring attitude toward patients, parents, and co-workers

-- Determines nature and extent of illness or injury to establish first aid procedures and assistance

-- Administers prescribed first-aid treatment at site of emergency

-- Communicates with medical personnel at emergency treatment facility to obtain instructions regarding further treatment and to arrange for reception of patients at treatment facility

-- Support of all nursing care such as administration of medications and medical interventions

-- Attend to students and staff on campus with minor injuries and illnesses

-- Review all medication errors with the responsible staff members, retraining as necessary and providing additional follow-up as necessary

-- Facilitate the flow of medication information between the physicians and multi-disciplinary team as needed

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Active EMT License in the State of Utah. 

A significant amount of walking and standing are often necessary to carry out job duties. Lifting/carrying will routinely exceed 10 pounds
