Do you have a passion for excellent customer service and enjoy working with animals? Rowe Veterinary Group are looking for a receptionist to join our small and friendly practice in Winterbourne.
As a valued member of the reception team you will be the first point of contact for pets and their owners. The ideal candidate will be professional and efficient with a welcoming and sympathetic manner. In addition, they will have excellent customer service skills, proficient knowledge of IT, the ability to remain calm under pressure, and a love of animals Key Responsibilities:
*Greet clients and their pets in a warm, professional manner.*Manage appointments, including booking, rescheduling, and cancellations.*Handle client enquiries via phone, email, and in person efficiently and courteously.*Provide advice on preventative healthcare products and promote Pet Healthcare Plans and insurance.*Dispense medications and prescriptions accurately.*Process payments, complete end-of-day cashing up, and perform general admin and reception tasks. Rowe Vet Group (part of IVC Evidensia) is based in the South West, with branches in Thornbury, Yate, Winterbourne, and a 24-hour hospital in Bradley Stoke. We pride ourselves on clinical excellence and providing a patient-appropriate, compassionate service for our clients. You will join a well-established team of over 30 Veterinary Surgeons across the group, a strong, experienced nursing team, and a fantastic support team. About You
*Minimum 1 year of office-based experience.*Educated to at least GCSE level (5 subjects at grade C or above).*Reliable, well-organised, and able to manage time effectively.*Professional and caring telephone manner.*Strong communication and interpersonal skills.*Committed to delivering excellent customer service.*Confident using Microsoft Office and other computer systems.*Strong numeracy, literacy, and attention to detail. Your shift pattern
You will work 26 hours across 3 days per week, with shifts on Monday from 10 am – 7 pm, Tuesday from 8 am – 5 pm, and Wednesday from 8 am – 5 pm, with inclusion in our 1:4 weekend rota.
