Your role at Exness:
We are currently looking for a Business System Analyst for our Trader Retention Team. You will be involved in requirements management, functional testing, risk & system analysis, and other fascinating things to build world-class financial products for clients around the world. You will be in regular contact with a range of our experts, from researchers and engineers to software and app designers.
If you are not already located in Cyprus, relocation to Cyprus is a requirement for this role.
You will:
- Identify and gather requirements from a variety of sources, such as structured BRDs and unformalised requests from stakeholders. Define business owners and relevant stakeholders for cross-team tasks and external requests. Proactively share information with other teams in case of cross-dependencies, changes in plans, or bugs identified outside of your responsibility.
- Prepare specifications that describe the technical implementation of the requirements, including integration flows, data models, and UI specifications. Ensure all specs meet business, technical, security, and risk protection requirements. Adapt existing templates to the specifics of the team or project and suggest improvements when needed.
- Together with enterprise and solution architects, participate in solution and system design phases. Demonstrate an understanding of the services and dependencies inside and outside the product. Suggest improvements for AS-IS and model optimal TO-BE business processes. Contribute to designing effective technical solutions and coordinate the development process as needed.
- Create the technical and user documentation for the services developed by your team. Ensure accuracy and usability for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Assemble the functional testing schemes to detect deviations from business and functional requirements. Test prototypes of the existing technology system. Use a data-driven approach where applicable (e.g., Amplitude, Google Analytics, internal data marts/DBs).
- Participate in the training of existing and new users. Ensure training materials align with system functionality and business needs.
- Analyse risks and causes of errors that occur in production. Read source code at a surface level to understand implemented logic where necessary. Investigate and resolve issues independently, without requiring constant team lead involvement.
- Take initiative in setting priorities for the product backlog. Distribute tasks logically by stages and sprints. Monitor and facilitate progress within the team or small projects.
- Provide analytics and specifications that support decision-making. Support hiring by conducting technical interviews (if applicable), ensuring candidates meet quality standards. Share knowledge with peers and maintain alignment with internal standards and best practices.
What makes you a great fit:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience in software development as a System/Business Analyst, QA Engineer, or Developer preferably within the FinTech or trading industry
- Strong knowledge of requirements management and its modern techniques, such as 'Use Cases' & 'User Stories'
