Design and integrate various functions of network and telecommunications equipment into functional systems usinginternational, U.S., and military standards. Document equipment layout, taking into account power, cooling, security and functionality. Perform end-to-end systems testing. Understand and integrate Agency serial and IP encryptors into networks and systems. Understand emerging telecommunications trends and technologies and implement new technologies as appropriate. Integrate appropriate installation hardware such as equipment racks and necessary cabling.
Due to federal contract requirements, United States Citizenship and position appropriate security clearance is required. (e.g. Active TS/SCI security clearance with agency appropriate polygraph).

Capabilities

  • Experienced with Windows & Linux systems at the command line, particularly installing OSs, mounting images, package installs, IP networking.
  • Experience with VMs using ESXi, Nutanix; additional networking skills such as configuring ports, Cisco switches, NTP and/or chronyc.
  • Ensure systems are compliant with Secure the Enterprise (STE)/Secure the Network (STN) requirements; familiarity with Xacta, LatteArt, SEAR.
  • Maintain multiple SSPs and other documentation for compliance, coordinate with ISSOs and Information System owners as needed.
  • Evaluate configuration of networking equipment; update hardware and software as needed; perform vulnerability scans, install patches.
  • Provision accounts and containers to information systems; perform data transfers.

Required Qualifications

  • TS/SCI with agency appropriate poly
  • Bachelor's degree plus 8-years of relevant experience, or Master's degree plus 6-years of relevant experience or an Associate's degree plus 10-years of relevant experience or high school diploma/GED plus 12-years of relevant experience may be considered.
  • Degree must be in Network Engineering, Systems Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.

Relevant Experience

  • Relevant experience must be in computer or information systems design/development, programming, information/cyber/network security, vulnerability analysis, penetration testing, computer forensics, information assurance and/or systems engineering. Additionally, must have experience in network or system administration.

Desired Technical Skills

  • System Administrator experience
  • Risk Management Framework
