Job Description:
The Natural Gas Scheduler is predominately responsible for nominating and scheduling gas portfolios within operational deadlines to minimize financial penalties, as well as other duties outlined in this job description.
Responsibilities
Schedule Natural Gas pipelines in the Midwest region, including third party, transport and storage nominations
Manage physical transactions in internal gas management system and confirm third party documents
Communicate relevant operational and contractual pipeline information internally
Assist internal departments, such as Confirmations, Risk, IT and Accounting to ensure deals are managed according to their intent in a timely and accurate manner
Daily, weekly and monthly balancing of physical gas deals
Communicate all rate, tariff, fuel and operational condition change.
Work with trading personnel to ensure that imbalances are minimized by communicating in a timely manner when problems arise
Perform weekend on call coverage
Other duties as directed by Manager
Requirements & Qualifications
Bachelor Degree in a quantitative field such as Math, Statistics, Finance or Engineering; Advanced degree preferred
Minimum two (2) years' experience with Natural Gas Marketing or Gas Operations
Solid foundation with the MS Office Suite, specifically Excel, and VBA, SQL
Ability to adapt to analysis software
Ability to work in a team based environment
Ability to build and maintain relationships with third parties and internal employees
Proactive, flexible and positive attitude
Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize when faced with multiple tasks
Proactive in approach to problem solving
Excellent level of attention to detail
Strong communication skills
Ability to maintain flexible schedule, including work outside of office hours, holidays and/or weekends
